PEACE III

Welcome to the Donegal CDB Peace and Reconciliation Partnership website.

Our Vision is 'Donegal, a county where racism and sectarianism no longer exist and where all feel equally valued and confident that they belong.'

Our role as a Partnership is to implement Priority 1.1 of the PEACE III Programme in Donegal. We are doing this by developing and delivering the Donegal PEACE III Action Plan 2008 -2013. There are a number of ways in which organisations and groups can get involved in this important work.

The Cross Border Cross Community Grant Programme, Public Procurement, and   projects delivered by Partnership Members provide opportunities to access funding and to participate for community and voluntary organisations around Donegal and on a Cross Border basis.

During Phase 1 of the Donegal PEACE III Action Plan  the partnership supported a range of peace and reconciliation projects throughout the county.  One of these actions, the Donegal Diversity Plan 2011 - 2013 was launched on 1st November 2011 by Councillor Dessie Larkin, Chair of Donegal CDB Peace and Reconciliation Partnership.   This Diversity Plan sets out an integrated response to dealing with the needs and issues identified in relation to diversity in Donegal so as to enhance equality, interculturalism, anti-racism and anti-sectarianism and promote greater integration at a local level within our communities.

News of all funding opportunities and PEACE III related events will be published on this site and updated on a regular basis.

If you have been the victim of, or a witness to, a racist or sectarian incident, you can record and report what you have experienced using our on-line Incident Reporting Scheme.

We hope you will join us in making our vision a reality,

Donegal CDB Peace and Reconciliation Partnership
