INTRODUCTION TO FILM STUDIES with David Chernick
Through a vast array of Film Clips and discussions, this 6 week class will explore the major movements in Hollywood and World cinema styles, techniques and genres throughout the ages.

CREATIVE FRESCO with Frank Saucien
This course will take its participants through a liberating journey to design and create a large-scale fresco. Participants will collaborate and share their ideas to create a vibrant piece of collective artwork.

BASKET MAKING with Teresa Downes
Spend two Saturdays learning the basic techniques of willow basketry and discovering a little bit about the history of this ancient craft. Participants will learn how to make a round basket such as a shopper or a small log basket. N.B. Participants must complete both sessions to finish the basket.

Relax with Paint With Mary Lynch
Participants will learn the basic techniques of painting in their own chosen medium. This course is suitable for beginners and those who have experience in painting, but would like help and guidance to progress further. N.B participants must bring own materials, full list available.

WRITE FOR YOUR LIFE: Creative Writing with Monica Corish
Monica Corish’s is trained as an Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) writing group leader. In AWA writing groups, the group write in response to prompts, and read and respond to each other's work, within guidelines designed to generate strong & authentic writing.
Dates: 18 April / 16 May / 6 June

Duration: 3 sessions
Times: 1pm -5pm

SUNDAY DRAWING DAY James Fitzgerald
This Sunday session will focus on the work of the major Irish / American artist James Fitzgerald (1899 – 1971). RCC curator John Cunningham will give a guided tour to the exhibition and artists Mhairi Sutherland will lead a sketching session.
